A mother believes that her Down syndrome son has taken a picture of his guardian angel.

Kerri Liles was on a flight home to Houston, Texas, when seven-year-old Aasher, who cannot speak, took the picture through the window of the plane on his mum’s phone.

She said that she was stunned by what she found when she looked back through the camera scroll.

Kerri Liles said: ‘Yesterday we were flying back to Houston from Washington and my 7 year old, who’s recently become obsessed with taking pictures with our cell phones, wanted to take some pictures out of the window after I had reached across him to take one myself.

‘After he took a few dozen, I took the phone back and later went through the images to delete since my storage was getting low.

‘As I was deleting, I came across this one close to the middle of all of his cloud and plane wing pics.’

She told her local news channel that they believe Aasher has a sixth sense about other people and gravitates towards strangers in need.

She said that they had a bumpy takeoff and his angel had followed to comfort him.

Kerri said that they decided to give Aasher an extra A in his name to reflect his extra chromosome.

She told : ‘His name reflects his AAwesomeness. You know when you get an A on a paper and how great that is, but when you get an A+, that’s really, really good.

‘That’s how we feel about AAsher and how we want others to view him and his diagnosis. Down syndrome is not bad or scary. It’s just a different path than we had planned on taking. We really won the lottery.’
