Rhona Goskirk is about to endure the worst ordeal of her life in Emmerdale as her new husband Pierce Harris rapes her on her wedding night – after discovering that she shared a kiss with her ex Paddy Kirk.

As Rhona opened up to Paddy about her fears of losing Pierce, she expressed her regret over their kiss and feared that Pierce would never have proposed if he knew. What she was unaware of was that Pierce was listening to the entire conversation and his expression darkened with menace as the truth dawned.

We have seen Pierce’s nasty temper before and it just combines with his controlling nature to paint a very dangerous and sinister picture of the man Rhona is about to marry. Pierce is holding onto his anger over the kiss for now and will go ahead with the wedding – but his bubbling fury is about to manifest itself into a horrendous act that could destroy Rhona forever.

As a row over the kiss explodes on their wedding night, Pierce subjects Rhona to a violent and brutal attack that leaves her shaken and horrified – and he then justifies his actions by claiming that she was asking for what he did to her.

It remains to be seen whether she will be able to escape her evil husband and whether anyone will discover what happened but whatever happens, life has changed forever for Rhona and there are some highly charged scenes ahead.
