A jealous cleaner who killed his ex and stuffed her body in a suitcase has been jailed.
Kostadin Kostov put Gergana Prodanova’s naked body in the suitcase and dragged it through the streets before dumping it by a railway line.
The 42-year-old was angry that his former partner did not return to their abusive relationship.
Bulgarian-born Kostov wore a baseball cap and tight-fitting clothes as he carried out the murder.
Ms Prodanova was just 38 when she was killed by the man who had previously Googled, ‘how long would it take for a human corpse to decompose?’

Chilling footage from CCTV shows Kostov rolling the suitcase around Exeter last August.
In a ‘devious’ act, Kostov then sent fake messages on Facebook from her account to pretend Ms Prodanova was still alive.
It took days for her body, which was too badly decomposed to establish cause of death, to be found.
Kostov was found guilty of murder and has been handed a life sentence.
He was branded ‘callous, cold-hearted, selfish and cruel’ by Judge Sir John Royce.

He must serve a minimum term of 19 years before he can apply for parole.
The judge said: ‘Only you can tell us how she died and you have chosen not to. There has been no hint of remorse.
‘The way you have conducted this case merely serves to underline the cruel, dark element of your character.’
