Julian Assange played a very important role exposing Hillary Clinton for who she really is during the election.
Assange and his organization WikiLeaks have made many enemies in high places from their leaks one of those being Hillary Clinton who reportedly asked why the US couldn’t just drone strike Assange.
Assange has been facing a suspicious charge in Sweden which has forced him to seek exile in the Ecuadorian Embassy in England, but those days seem to be coming to an end.
Julian Assange’s Charges have been dropped!
This marks the end of a 7 year legal battle and finally Assange has seen justice and the warrant for his arrest has been rescinded.
BREAKING: Sweden has dropped its case against Julian Assange and will revoke its arrest warrant
— WikiLeaks (@wikileaks) May 19, 2017
Assange took refuge in Ecuador’s embassy in London in 2012 to escape extradition to Sweden to answer questions about sex-crime allegations from two women. He has been there ever since, fearing that if he is arrested he might ultimately be extradited to the United States.
Friday’s announcement means Assange is no longer under any investigation in Sweden. British police said before the announcement that Assange is still wanted in Britain for jumping bail. It is not clear if that may change now that the investigation has been dropped.
While Assange may be free of these charges, he still has many enemies and must remain careful.
Pray for Julian Assange if you are thankful for his hard work during the campaign.
