Tracking a runner during this year’s London Marathon can easily be done via your iPhone.
There’s a special tracking app to see your friend or family member running around the course.
The app was released a couple of years ago but is back due to its success.
All you need to do is go to this link HERE on your iPhone and download the app.
The app will only work on race day when you will be able to input your loved one’s runner number to see where they are.
Througout the route it will then update automatically from the start to every subsequent 5km timing interval.
It should also predict where your runner should be on the course according to their pace.
The team at the London Marathon describe the app by saying: ‘The app lets you find and track participants along the race route, helping you to keep up with split times and finishing positions throughout the day.’
Unfortunately, the only catch is that the app only works on iPhones at the moment.
If you have an Android or any other phone than Apple, you can still track your runner’s progress – but it will need to be via the web.
All you need to do is go to the London Marathon 2016 homepage HERE and search for your runner by surname or their running number and it’ll pinpoint exactly where they are.
