They might both have roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi – but Oscar Isaac has admitted he still has no idea who Gary Barlow is.
The Take That frontman revealed in March that he has a small cameo role in the upcoming eighth instalment of the saga, due for release in December this year – despite keeping schtum about who he plays.
But the news seems to have passed by Oscar, who is reprising his role as Poe Dameron in the blockbuster sequel.
When asked by NME if he knew about Barlow’s appearance in the film, Oscar simply replied: ‘Who’s he?’

The publication promptly filled him in, only for the actor to tell them: ‘Unfortunately, I wasn’t part of that scene.’
Awkward. Although Oscar was more forthcoming when it came to the movie’s other stars – saying that Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) would be ‘challenged very specifically’.
‘You get to discover their character flaws and those things get tested,’ he explained.
‘Out of that, I think you’ll get a much better sense of who Poe, Finn and Rey are because you really get to know somebody in a crisis.’
And he confirmed that you certainly won’t have seen the last of him in the saga as he added: ‘Star Wars is fixed in my calendar until at least 2020, so watch this space.’
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15.
