Londoners, rejoice – there is now a Harry Potter book club to help you de-stress after a long work day.
In celebration of 20 years of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone this June, Harry Potter fans can join the Muggle Book Club in London.
Taking place in a secret location (which will be revealed once you’ve joined the club) in London, on Tuesday 20 June 2017 at 7pm, the first Muggle Book Club will run for nine weeks, every Tuesday, with the last commencing on Tuesday 15 August.
The club will start of course with Harry Potter and the Philospher’s Stone, before going onto the many other famous books.

Per week, members will read two chapters of the book. There will also be activities, wizarding treats and selected chapters will be read out loud by one of the club’s storytellers.
And you don’t have to bring your own book, either, as this will be provided for you to keep, take home and bring into every session.
Each weekly event will have a different theme based on the chapters that are being read at that time, and ‘wizarding candies and drinks’ will be on offer at each event.

We will also have a Book 1 Afterparty later in September where you can dress up, invite your mates and celebrate all things HP.
We have limited places for the first Muggle Book Club, so we advice booking in advance.
According to the club, the best thing it is that ‘that you can nerd out about Harry Potter with other fans, without being judged for it. Or without asking the question – Are you a Harry Potter fan.’
And, after ‘nerding out’, club muggles can all come together for a club finale, a ‘Book 1 Afterparty’ will be taking place in September. Members will be asked to dress up as their favourite Potter character, and to bring their mates along to celebrate all things HP.

However, to get in with the muggle crew, you’re going to have to hurry, as the club currently has limited spaces that will need booking in advance.
It will cost you a £25 joining fee plus a £15 weekly fee to read along with the other muggles – but hey, magic comes at a price, right?
