What is it about royal babies?

Perhaps their royal blood has some kind of magical control over our hormones, or maybe it’s just their outrageously expensive little outfits.

Either way, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have had their tiny little fingers wrapped around our hearts for a while now.

That was until we found out about tiny Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the Prince of Bhutan.

The country’s youngest royal turned one yesterday.

And to celebrate, Bhutanese website Yellow has made the Crown Prince the cover model for the February edition of its desktop calendar.

It claims that the photos will ‘melt your heart’, which after even a brief glance isn’t a matter of debate.

Look back at that photo at the top of this article. Look at those cheeks. Those eyes. That smile.

And wait – are those tiny binoculars?

The Crown Prince is the son of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema, who’s been sharing super-cute photos of the Crown Prince on Facebook too.

I know that as Brits we’re meant to have some kind of loyalty to our own crown, but look at him.
