Traffic Stop For Unrelated Incident Lands Two Oxford Men In Jail For Burglary

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Two Oxford men are jailed for a burglary after they’re found with the stolen goods in a traffic stop.

28-year-old Marrico Johnson and 27-year-old Jessie Redmond are charged with burglary. Johnson also faces a charge of DUI 1st.

On April 19, Oxford Police were called to Old Taylor Road for a burglary. When they got there, the victim told that her TV had been stolen and that other officers had the suspects, Johnson and Redmond, stopped for an unrelated incident.

The officers on scene with the burglary victim communicated with the officers conducting the traffic stop and confirmed that Johnson and Redmond had the TV in their vehicle.

Both men were taken to LCDC and booked.

Both Johnson and Redmond’s bonds were set at $10,000 dollars.
